2024 Eclipse Alumni Matt Jeffery Suits up for Notre Dame Football in the College Football Playoff

Eclipse class of 2024 alumni and current #1 overall incoming freshman for lacrosse, Matt Jeffery, prepares for the College Football National Championship tonight against Ohio State. Jeffery, the Cheshire, CT native, made notable appearances as a wide receiver and on special teams in Notre Dame’s wins against Purdue, Miami, Stanford, and Navy before redshirting.

After leading Cheshire High School to a Connecticut state championship, Jeffery quickly made his way to South Bend, where he earned his spot as a walk-on for the Notre Dame football team. His dedication, athleticism, and competitive spirit have made him a valuable asset to both the football and lacrosse programs.

 

Jeffery’s roots with Eclipse Lacrosse Club run deep, as he was a part of the program for over eight years. During his time with Eclipse, Jeffery honed his skills on the lacrosse field, earning national recognition as a the top player in his class. This foundation of discipline and excellence has clearly translated to his success on the gridiron.

As Notre Dame takes the field tonight with hopes of securing a national title, Eclipse Lacrosse Club and the entire CT community will undoubtedly be cheering for Jeffery and the Fighting Irish.
