Tom has been playing and coaching lacrosse for over 30 years.
Tom grew up and played 4 years at NCHS, winning 42 straight games, 2 FCIAC championships, a CT State title, and state runner up (1st team all FCIAC & State in '83).
Tom continued his lacrosse career at Brown University where we won an Ivy title outright and qualified for the NCAA tournament 2 of his 4 years (1st team All Ivy, All New England & HM All American in 1988).
Post college, Tom tried out for the 1990 US National lacrosse team, played indoor professionally for the NY Saints, and club lacrosse outdoor for NYAC. Tom has been coaching at youth level in New Canaan for 5 years and last summer was Head Coach of Chargers 2021 squad.
Tom's younger brother, Andy, is in his 4th year as Head Coach at Dartmouth College. Their father played HS lacrosse with Jim Brown at Manhasset HS, then at Princeton, coached at Harvard and helped form NCLA youth program in the mid 70s. He has been on US lacrosse board for many years and this year received the Dinty Moore “Man of the Year” award from the US Lacrosse Foundation for contribution to growth and development of lacrosse.
