George Talboys - CO-HEad Coach
George Talboys is entering his 49th year with lacrosse. He is a 1973 graduate of Herricks High School on Long Island. Upon graduation, he played for Miami and Fort Lauderdale Lacrosse Clubs. He earned MVP honors in 1975 during FLLC inaugural year. He was named All-State in the Florida Lacrosse League in 1975. He played his collegiate lacrosse at SUNY@Buffalo where he was a 3-year starter. After his collegiate career, he played in various tournaments and pick up leagues. He is currently playing goal for the Elder Statesmen (Hobart) Grandmasters’ team. He has played with them for the past 13 years. His teams have won the Vail Shootout for the last 12 years in a row. His teams have also won 6 national championships in the Florida Lax Classic over the past 10 years in three different divisions (over 50, over 55, over 60). He has also won two championships at the Lake Placid tournament. George also was the goalie for two World Games teams in 2010 and 2012. In 2012, he was the goalie for Eldest Statesmen Ultra Grandmasters’ (over 55) team where they took second place in the world.
In 1980 he was an assistant coach for the inaugural season of Darien High School. In 2002, he became an assistant coach with the Stamford/Westhill High School inaugural season. In 2003, Coach Talboys founded and was Head Coach for Westhill High School. He led Westhill for the next 14 years. During his tenure, Westhill became the first lacrosse program in Stamford to make the CIAC tournament. He also led the Vikings to their only FCIAC tournament appearance in 2009. Westhill’s 12-4 record stands as the best regular season record in the history of Stamford lacrosse. He was awarded the 2009 FCIAC Boys Lacrosse Coach of the Year. Coach Talboys left Westhill at the end of the 2016 season. He joined New Canaan High School as an assistant/JV coach for the 2016-17 season. George is also a founder and a current director for the Stamford Lacrosse Association. In this capacity, he taught coaches, led seminars, and coached teams in both elementary and high school leagues.
He is currently a 22-year veteran of the Stamford Public School System.
JOHN WISEMAN - Co-HEAD COACH
John Wiseman is an assistant coach at Wilton High School, after serving as the programs Head Coach for 10 years. As a head coach, John was named WCLOA Coach of the year in 2011 and 2013, FCIAC coach of the year in 2012, and has won two State Titles. He has coached 12 All-American’s, 38 All-State Players, and 50 All-FCIAC Honors. Before becoming the Head Coach, he spent five years as the defensive coordinator at Wilton HS where he helped the team win two FCIAC championships and three State Championships. He also has spent 5 years as a girl’s varsity lacrosse coach at Wilton HS. John has also spent over 20 years coaching in the Wilton Youth Lacrosse program.
Before starting his coaching career, John was a star defenseman at Wilton HS. He was on varsity for 3 seasons, winning FCIAC’s all three years and playing in three straight State Championships, winning one of those games. As a senior he was a team captain, All-FCIAC, All-State, and All-American defenseman. Coach Wiseman has been inducted into the Wilton HS Hall of Fame for Football, Lacrosse, and Track. After graduating from Wilton, John attended Duke where he was a 4-year starter and never missed a game. He was a two-time captain and team MVP as a senior. Coach Wiseman earned the 1990 Carville Collins Award for Excellence in Athletics, Academics, and Sportsmanship.
Coach Wiseman lives in Wilton and has three sons, who are all in the Eclipse program, Quinn, Sean, and Kieran.

At Eclipse Lacrosse Club, we announce all the current college players who will be helping coach our teams after the NCAA season as completed. Each year, Eclipse lacrosse club has over 25 current college players help throughout the summer. Many of the players are now Eclipse Lacrosse Club Alumni.
